The 70's on the Gulf of Finland

Klimat niczym z nadmorskich, sowieckich resortów, bajeczne widoki za oknem, marokańskie płytki na ścianie w salonie i akcent nawiązującym do kultowego już serialu „Młody Papież” – to wnętrze zaskakuje już od progu!
The apartment is located right next to the beach on the Gulf of Finland, so it has beautiful views and is perfect for spending summer vacation. Interestingly, with the handover of the keys to the apartment, the investor left Tim a free hand in terms of the interior and relied entirely on the creativity of the designer.
One of his first decisions was to enlarge the windows in the living room, so that the owner could fully enjoy the fabulous views outside the window. In the interior, the designer focused on a combination of Soviet architecture from the 70's with the atmosphere of American motels.
There could be no shortage of references to nature, but Tim wanted them not to turn into banality. It was decided to use wooden fronts in the kitchen, and wood also appeared on the panels in the guest bedroom. There is a travertine in the bathroom.
In the living room, Tim decided on a very interesting idea: Moroccan tiles were laid on the walls. As the designer recalls, he was surprised by a phone call from the construction crew, when they wondered which side of the tile use. It turned out that the one considered by the manufacturer as "behind" is more interesting, rougher and the designer decided to emphasize it.
In the bedroom, Tim opted for a leopard-print carpet, reminiscent of the atmosphere of American motels from the 1970s. In the guest bedroom there is a neon sign with a cross - which is a reference to the series "Young Pope".
When it comes to furniture and accessories, it is largely focused on the 1970s: a plush sofa, a checkerboard lampshade or an Italian rosewood bookcase are the perfect complement to the design.
