In the artist's apartment
This black and white Moscow apartment belongs to designer and architect Sergei Khrabrovsky. The unique interior was inspired by Russian constructivism.
The apartment is inspired by the Russian avant-garde from the 1920s. Much of the furniture has been designed specifically for this apartment, some of it is a rather frivolous reinterpretation of constructivism.
The interior arouses curiosity from the very threshold - just look at the marble floor in the hall, on which circles and crosses are placed, which makes the whole look like a chessboard. The same theme was repeated on the radiator panels.
Painting by the artist are hunging on the walls, many of them were created during the pandemic. The art created by Sergei Khrabrovsky is distinguished by a great sense of humor and distance.
In the living room, it is worth paying attention to the very unusual shelves designed especially for this interior. The graphic motif is repeated on the kitchen fronts and resembles a piano.
The black and white dominating in the interior are broken with wooden accents and the color present in the works of art. The whole is complemented by iconic design classics such as "Ombra Tokyo" by Charlotte Perriand and the Zig-zag chair by Rietveld.
